In addition, these changes reflect a strategic realignment within the UPDF hierarchy to ensure effective leadership and operational readiness.

Additionally, Major General Eric Kyanda has been appointed as the new Defence attaché, and Major General Jackson Bakasumba will take on the role of Joint Chief of Staff. In recognition of their contributions and achievements, Brigadier General David Mugisha has been promoted to Major General, and Colonel Asaph Nyakyikuru has been elevated to Brigadier General.
